HEY, I'm Katya (KA-TEE-YEA)

To start off let me share a little bit about me.

I am of slavic heritage a mix of Ukrainian and Russian, and I'm fluent in Russian. I'm married to my soul mate, Ed, for 9 years and were parents of two little rascals. In other words I've been a bride, can multitask, and handle stress daily, ha!

At 15 years old a young lady from my church asked me to take her senior pictures and after that I believed that I could pursue photography.

At 17, I photographed my first wedding and I will forever be grateful to the couple that trusted me. In 2015 I had my photography breakthrough and went full time. Once we decided to grow our family, photography went on pause. Now that I've got kids I enjoy doing photography part-time to also take care of my family. Weddings are so special to me, though, and meeting new people is fun. I still get emotional during speeches and cry just as if we've been friends for ages.

Some favorites of mine include: hosting parties, desserts, flowers, and naps. Gosh, I love big piles of shoes by my front door because it means my home is full of friends. Full yard of cars, full heart.
